After turning 18, I traveled the world in order to
satisfy my thirst for adventure and discovery: a
summer in Iran, a year in Colombia, 16 summers in
the Dominican Republic, 3 weeks in Nepal with the
Peace Corps. I thank God for the opportunities I’ve
had to experience the people and places of this
magical planet.
I completed a Master’s of Science in Education at
Long Island University/ Brooklyn Campus and a
Master’s of Science in Human Services/Counseling
at St. John’s University. After 22 years as an
educator, including 12 years counseling
adolescents and their families in NYC, I came to
realize that so many of us here in this complex
society of the 21st century U.S., deeply need to find
nourishment and balance in all the domains of our
lives: the spiritual, emotional, social, creative,
financial, intellectual, professional and physical.
I immersed myself in a life- transforming program
at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) in
NYC, and embarked on one of the most meaningful
journeys of my life so far. Now I am a Health and
Nutrition Counselor, certified through IIN, Columbia
University and the American Association of
Drugless Practitioners. I currently live in Nyack,
N.Y., and provide a transformational six month
journey into health, nutrition and wellness which
creates a lifetime of balance for my clients and their
families. I also offer wellness seminars and cooking/nutrition classes for children and adolescents.
